WHAT IS AN OCULAR EMERGENCY?

The following symptoms are considered ocular emergencies and need immediate attention. Please call our office at 845-876-2222 or proceed to the nearest emergency medical facility for treatment.

Sudden Flashes of Light and Floaters
Sudden Loss of Vision or Reduced Vision in one or both eyes
Sudden Ocular Pain and Redness
Sudden Onset of Double Vision
Chemical Splash in the Eyes
Foreign Body or blunt trauma to the Eyes
Corneal Abrasion

WHAT IS AN OCULAR URGENCY?
An ocular urgency is not an emergency but should be seen within a couple of days. These include:
Red Eyes or Conjunctivitis
Itchy Eyes
Eye discharge or Watery Eyes
Gradual change in Vision
Sudden Contact Lens Discomfort
